Working at IECR

Research that is meant to be used

Our work is designed to change what councils, government and the public do about litter, fly-tipping and the other problems of shared spaces. Every study starts with a question someone needs answered and ends with evidence they can act on.

Small teams around each question

We build a project team around each piece of work, drawing on academics, councils, other NGOs and the public. People who join us work across the whole of a study, from data and fieldwork to the final report.

Independent and non-profit

We are not tied to any party or interest, and our findings are published whatever they show. Read more about why we’re here and how we work, or meet the team.

Other ways to work with us

If you are a funder, a council, an academic or an organisation holding evidence relevant to our research, the contact page has the right route for your enquiry.
